February 2006 12 months ago, we were lucky enough to receive a phone call from Michael & Christina Triantafillopoulos, apart from trying to get my head around their surname :-)) I was taken back by the gentle voice on the phone full of passion about this great breed I love dearly. Everyone has a sad story, and Michael & Christina are no exception having lost their first Malamute at 11 months old. Michael & Christina were not in a rush for a new pet puppy but wanted to come out and meet our dogs, they missed just being around Mallies. Over the next 6 months a great friendship formed, regular visits to our house and dog shows all our fury kids became accustomed to the hugs and plays from Michael & Christina.

On the 1st of February, Chevy's litter to Deago was born. I was keeping pick male to send to NZ and offered second boy to Michael & Christina. A few weeks later, at a show Michael said to me "what does it take to show"......... Diablo is their first show dog and is living up to his name as the little "Devil"! At only six months of age this boy is already turning heads. Diablo is a 5 times Baby Puppy in Show winner and multi Sweepstakes Winner. All credit goes to the dedication Michael & Christina have put in. They love their boy and want to do him proud, Michael has spent hours with me training, learning how to show and is a natural. Christina is their Chief groomer and she too, makes her boy look a million bucks, I could not be prouder of the 3 of them and so happy they are part of our big Kool Family.
Away from the show ring, this spoilt puppy is very playful and gets all Michael & Christina's attention. Diablo has his own personality and they absolutely adore him for it.
Diablo's pedigree is a line breeding and boasts some of Australia's & USA's top winning malamutes, proving this pedigree are not only show dogs, but can continuously reproduce quality generation after generation. His sire is Deago, a multi BIS and BISS winner under 2 years old and only a few points off his Grand Championship. His dam is Chevy, imported from USA and an awarded Best Gait and classes in shows at Specialities and a Royal CC winner. Diablo's grandsire is the famous "Clancy", within 18 months of showing in Australia Clancy was 23 x BIS and BISS winner and the breeds quickest Grand Champion. Clancy's sire K.O in USA is a multi BISS and BISS winner too. Diablo now moves into the Minor Puppy class and I look forward to watching his long show career alongside his wonderful owners.
