Multiple
(3x) BIS, and (6x) BISS Am Ch Glenhaven's
Arctic Knight, call name Juneau, was the
Number #1 Alaskan Malamute in the USA for
1995 and the Pedigree Award winner for that
year. He is a 26" grey, open faced
gentleman. He was and is known by all as the
"Whoo-Whoo" mal as he would race
around the ring "Whooing" to all
!!! Juneau is also known for his
beautiful head piece and fabulous top-line.
He was an Award of Merit winner at 4
National Specialties and at the Westminster
KC dog show. He is truly the love of Gloria
& Terry Toussaint's lives.
I
was privileged enough to spend time again
with Juneau in November of 2000 in Terry and
Gloria's home on my recent visit and trip to
the National. For those of you that have not
seen this most remarkable dog in the flesh,
you will truly miss out on seeing one of the
Greatest Specimens of our gorgeous breed.

I
had been living with and showing Alaskan
Malamutes in Australia for 4 years when I
first met Juneau. I had always admired him
in photographs, and then was lucky enough to
meet him and his owners, Gloria & Terry
Toussaint, over 5 years ago. That day, was
the start of one of the greatest friendships
I have. Gloria
and Terry are the best mentors and friends I
could have asked for, always going above and
beyond to help me.
At
that first meeting, Juneau simply took my
breath away. When
I laid eyes and hands on Juneau, for the
first time I knew what I wanted from an
Alaskan Malamute. He had it all,
Temperament, Type and Movement !!!! His
incredible show career achievements are well
known, but Juneau also had a home like no
other with Gloria and Terry and could never
have wished for more.
I
have spent the last 5 years trying to bring
something of Juneau back to Australia,
through semen from his son Sizzle-Man (Multi
BISS Terraglo’s FireNice of Wolfmtn),
importing his Granddaughter Miss Splash (Ch
Terraglo’s Make ‘N’ A Splish Splash
IMP USA), semen from his nephew Mozart (BIS/BISS
CH Glenhaven Mostly Mozart) and most
recently, importing his Great Granddaughter
Chevy (Wolfmt Koolrunnings MsChievous IMP
USA).
Miss Splash has far exceeded the
hopes I had for her, and I am delighted that
she has the spirit and impromptu vocal cords
of her granddaddy. Miss Splash is my Whoo
Whoo Kid.
