sets another record: Tokay becomes the first Australian Bred Alaskan
Malamute female to gain her American Championship, proving our dogs are

Gloria Toussaint with Tokay and her cousin DUDE-MAN Tokay has made the journey to USA to become part of the Terraglo Team. Tokay's USA show debut will be after she turns 6 months. My breeders, more importantly my friends Terry and Gloria graciously gave me my foundation, my start and my top dog - Miss Splash. One condition Miss Splash came to Australia was that Terry and Gloria come to visit her the next year. This started a pattern of bi-annual visits to Australia and in the in-between years, I would go to USA to the Nationals and help Terry and Gloria. On Terry and Gloria's last visit in July 2005, we took holidays to the Rutherglen Wine area in Victoria. Our 3rd shared passion, Dogs / good food / Vineyards. Rutherglen is famous for it's fortified wines. In particular, we all enjoyed the Tokay. A smooth, rich dreamy special drop. It was this shared holiday we spent taking bets on how many puppies Miss Splash would have in her last litter. I wanted a Miss Splash daughter, I was delighted when she gave me 4 boys and 4 girls to choose from. I was splitting hairs between 2 girls in particular, definitely picks of the litter. Tokay reminds me so much of "Morty" and Poppy is very similar to "Banjo" it's uncanny. Eventually, I decided on Poppy and Gloria and Terry wanted Tokay. To go the full circle and be able to
give back a girl to Terry and Gloria is a great honour for me and
Koolrunnings.
